A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Who: I should've seen the twist coming, but I did not!
How did the Doctor get the Tardis on the Dalek ship? And how were Rory & Amy cured of the nano-bots? Were either of those things explained and I missed it? (Which is quite possible -- I constantly find myself missing bits of dialogue on this show)
How about the spoilers-lite thread for that thing Vonnie wants to talk about?
Oh, that reminds me – could I beg, borrow, or plead for someone with BBCA to record the episode with the spoiled thing for me?
How did the Doctor get the Tardis on the Dalek ship? And how were Rory & Amy cured of the nano-bots?
No explanation on either front. I did watch it on BBC America so I guess it's possible they cut something, but I doubt it. Just deploy the usual handwavium.
Spoiler-Lite may work. We can talk about the
new companion there, right? Although, after this episode, it'll be tough to just talk about the generalities, since it opens door to a lot of speculation given the guest star.
Rory is Wash. He IS that guy.
I don't know what "that" means here. I feel Rory is an impromptu soldier in a way that Wash deliberately not. The time where Wash engages, he's getting into a side of his wife' life that he knows nothing of, and he's awkward although they're successful.
That contrast doesn't exist for me with Amy and Rory. Amy's obviously less martial than Zoe, but Rory is more mano a mano than Wash.
Vonnie, I watched both cuts, and neither explained the presence of the TARDIS. Can it be moved by others?
The Weeping Angels moved it in "Blink."
Ok. I assumed that it would be possible to forklift it.
I guess it's possible to manually just pick up and move the TARDIS instead of making it transport the usual way? I probably weighs a lot more than it looks though!
Is this why we are supposed to pick our men's clothes?
Oh, this made me laugh.
I find the new opening credit sequence on Grimm to be kind of cheeseball. But I'm loving Hank. And Monroe and Rosalee. And Sgt. Wu. And even Nick's mom although I get Alias flashbacks when dead parents show up.
So that's what the Dalek's eggbeater is for. Soufflés!
When they first arrive at the Dalek Parliament and the Doctor tells Amy to make them remember her, does that make him being erased from the Dalek collective memory kind of ominous?
I really hate that "I'm giving you up for your own good" thing Amy was pulling, So so much.
