But...who has sex with Jayne?
The same people that he's having sex with? I never thought it was because of his cuteness, but because the authors were lazy and thought that they didn't need to come up with reasons why Jayne would dominate someone for his own personal benefit, so they only had to justify the second part of the equation. But FF was my first foray into slash, so my memory is skewed by lack of perspective and broader knowledge.
My Jayne would have been the momma's boy who only took willing partner's with no coersion of his own (no dominating brute in sight), my Simon would have been a bossy bottom who held all the power in his relationship with Mal.
Mal/Simon was certainly not as popular as I would have liked.
Well, I figure if your personality isn't worth shagging, either your face or your genitalia must be. And Jayne's obviously striking out on one, likely to strike out on the second, and by that time, I'm not interested in the third.
Sure, I can visualise the scenario in which Mal ties him up and gets up close and personal with the chain of command, but I have funner things in my brain to play with.
Mal giving over power to Simon wouldn't do much for me either. Wash in some strange world, or Book, before that, to me.
I thought Jayne was kinda cute in a big burly guy way. He'd have to wait in line behind Mal, Wash and Zoe, but I hit that.
Yeah, he's the guy that you sleep with and you sneak out in the morning and you both pretend it never happened.
He's that guy on a ship with Mal and Simon? Uh, and Inara, Zoe, Wash, and Kaylee? And Book would have a better chance of sweet talking me naked--Jayne's totally the least beddable person for me on the ship.
LOVING Hank right now "Oh, I'm ready." Grimm has actually been getting good.
Lindsay Wagner improves EVERYTHING. I wish she were on the show every week.
