A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

OMG, ita !, I know I'm responding to something you posted on tumblr here, but seriously, sister of ita !? You just had to bring that back up?

But Ianto's been heavy on my mind recently anyway, because I've been watching the early Eccleston Whos, and have just got to the Captain Jack bits, and seeing him makes me miss Ianto instantaneously anyway. Oh, Ianto, why?

Woes.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I know! I don't usually listen to radio plays, much less remember them, but you can damned well bet that's the only thing I remember of all three that came up, and that it was part of the bile my reactions to his death were swimming around it.

Oh, sis, she's holding onto stories of GDL being a dick to distance herself from ship feels, but that only really works for me for individual actors. Doesn't help with ships as much, especially not ones this fucking EPIC. Goddamnit, dumping that on me just before bed,

Good thing I have tumblr, and you guys, huh?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Right?

I will accept GDL dickishness stories! You could whitefont if people don't want to know. Part of the Ianto love is certainly actor love for me (he sings the fucking blues!) so maybe that would help.

I have a lot of feels, though, I think it would take a lot of dickishness to blunt them.

I didn't actually retain any of the stories, because I wasn't interested in messing with my ship. It's gonna take a lot to rock those two. Dana might now--I know she has GDL exposure, but actually, I think she still likes him. So maybe not. Yipes. Talking shit with no cite! I'm on the internet, though. That's the rule, right?

Somewhat ironically, I have recently been talking about to another fan of his how my Roger Cross fannishness declined after hearing he has a disproportionate idea of his position in the galaxy, and seems to like to remind actors and fans alike of how amazing he is. I like him, but not enough to think *he* needs to be talking about it, you know? Could easily evaporate.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I think GDL is young, and often behaves that way. At last DragonCon, though, he sang "As If We Never Said Goodbye" from Sunset Boulevard at me, so, you know.

Hmph.

I still have feels.

Did Stiles land a kick or a punch in two seasons? He didn't, did he? It's okay. I love him for his sexy brains. And it's good that he's so light--he's easily tossed out of the way of fights.

Why does anyone put up with Jackson? I know they gave him some adopted angsty backstory, but adoption is not an excuse for being a douche. He's usually pretty nice to Danny, and he's flipping back and forth with Lydia (who has her own politeness issues), but they're decent people (well, Lydia is now, isn't she?)...why do they put up with his jackholery? I guess Danny needs to be more of an asshole, and Lydia...I don't see how she has her season 2 turnaround and goes back to him after he treats her so abominably. I mean, okay, teenaged girls, but still. Her redemption is pretty broken if she's...man, when Willow had her yellow crayon and Sam had his Impala, the other person involved was platonic. And the bond was unquestioned.

But we're asked to come around on her as well as entertain Stiles' campaign, and I don't get how he's not going to look like an actual loser or a Nice Guy if this goes on too much longer.

Good god, 22 seasons next year. I'm drunk with the possibility. I hear there are casting concerns about someone who's appearing in a network show, but I hope they don't overlap.

Oh, and their fight coordinator is for shit. None of these fights make sense.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Also, while I appreciate that they went to the trouble to come up with that quadrupedal loping thing the werewolves do, it is utterly ridiculous looking. Not to mention it would result in their hands being covered with all sorts of unhygienic crap (sometimes literally when they're racing through the woods... or the gutters of deserted city streets). Do not shake Derek or Scott's hands unless you've seen them washed recently.

Yeah, you can't be man shaped and man jointed and pull that off. I guess it's cheaper to CGI than full wolf, or that's only an option if you're born a werewolf, or whatever their mythology is. If it doesn't look stupid, it looks creepy. At least the kanima had a full transition going on.
