Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Thanks for the warning.

I firmly expect Peter to have an agenda of his own again where he does bad things. He's so smugly self-centered and all. Plus, total creeper.

I like the bad man.

Some of fandom's complaints about representation on the show has. me baffled. I am confused by the complaints that we learn nothingI about the characters who aren't white, esp. regarding Scott. I do not think I am watching the same show they are.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't think people's actions regarding Peter make much sense, and whatever his agenda is, he's had two seasons of random, and that's a long time. I'd like a bit more sense of purpose, even if I don't know the endgame.

People who haven't learnt anything about Scott have only themselves to blame. I would love to learn more about Danny and Boyd (the Deatons are clearly being set up for S3, so cool cool cool), but fandom ignores them both, and makes Derek gay and doesn't care a fig about the two canonically gay POC characters (I'll give 'em Stiles as probably bi).

Danny's awesome. More Danny, damn it. He is too adorable. I want him to find a nice boy and be happy.

I want him to find Stiles...

I cannot find the fanworks, and some of that is simply up to me. Every single drawing seems to be het, gen or Sterek (in reverse order of popularity). I want another pairing, I draw another pairing.

(God, Dean, Castiel--I still love you...)

Man, I just went to the Teen Wolf wikia page, because it comes up in my searches pretty often when I'm checking canon, so I thought I'd find out why Jackson's eyes flashed blue in the season finale.

Reminded me why my grumbles about how dumb the bits of fandom that float across my tumblr dash are trivial. People have infinite capacity for idiocy.

Oh, and there's no answer to anything about eye colour except red=alpha. Showrunner is deliberately coy. Not vague, coy.

Also, Jackson is not a Hale. I didn't even know that was a thing.

Pssh. It is totally possibly a thing. Maybe.

Because see aforementioned no shame zone.

Thingwise, you mean Jackson-Hale? He's not. Word of God.

He should totally be a SECRET LOST HALE. (Err, this may have come up in my explanation of seeing Jackson/Derek more than Derek/Stiles, even if they go SECRET LOST HALE route. I was a little punchy at the time.)

Nonononono.

And showrunner said no, so high profile retcon if it does happen.

And, Jesus, thank god they decided not to have a scene in that paralysis episode where Stiles tries to push Derek off him with his (I typed my...never mind Freud's opinion right now) tongue. They talk about the reasons they didn't go with it, but...it's also really dumb.

Showrunners LIE! Just like the Doctor. It's rule number 1!

They thought about having that as a scene? That's...

Glad they came to their senses.
