Did you see subtext in that scene? I just saw two paralysed guys, and a nutbag saying weird things.
There is a lot of chemistry between the two actors, is that enough for there to be subtext?
'Lies My Parents Told Me'
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I don't see them playing to it in their acting, and I don't see the script playing to it either--there's no Angel-like eyefucking, for instance.
I feel weird, being on the outside of the HoYay. Well, at least I have an episode of White Collar waiting on my TiVo for when I get home. I'm always on the inside of that bromance.

I agree with you on the latter but not the former.
Can you give me some examples, then? I feel Stiles flirts more with Danny than with Derek.

I think it is mostly the way they look at each other in scenes together, and they always seem to be having fun when they work together. Like I said, I just think they have a lot of chemistry.
That was C. Thomas Howell on Alphas as speed guy? Whoa, he looks seriously old now.
Did uou see him on Southland or Criminal Minds?
You are all one degree away from C. Thomas Howell. They filmed the movie "Tank" on the Army base that my family lived on, and I met him. there's a photo somewhere in my parents' house.

I didn't see subtext within the context of the scene. But as both cast and showrunner seem very aware of the ship, I figure it was thrown in deliberately as a wink on a meta level (hence, Matt's taunting).
Stiles is very weird about Danny, bordering on harrassment. As in "how dare you not find me attractive!"

I guess I feel it's very meta, and it's not actually leaking into the canon at all. And for all the explosion across my dash and the fics I've read and the fanart I've oohed and ahhed at--I dunno. I feel there are ships that the writers give you a couple building blocks for, even if they're not gonna go anywhere with them, and there are some they just freely admit you ship--and Sterek is the latter, not the former.
