Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I didn't see who came out of the floor, if that's it. I did catch the reveal that the stalkery kid was controlling the Kanima, but that was not a surprise by about halfway through.

eta: Aha! It's Peter. That makes sense, with the manipulation of Lydia. And that means Derek isn't Alpha anymore? Does Peter inherit the pack? Including Scott?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The last thing I saw before it cut out was Derek and Peter were tied together while Peter was slowly being restored and Derek was begging Lydia that she didn't know what she was doing. It cut out just at that point, so I didn't see if anything came after that or any previews.

Only if it's silver, I would think.

In this mythology silver isn't deadly to werewolves; the legend got started because of the name (Argent) of the family that hunts and kills them professionally.

We've seen werewolves killed by fire, being cut in half, lethal clawing from another werewolf, and it's been implied that wolfsbane poisoning can do them in.

Maybe the Argents think that if you kill the person before they turn, it will take? But her eyes flashed just before she was stabbed, so maybe she's not dead for good. I hope she isn't.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, that's excellent; that actually makes sense. It's like Cinderella's "glass" slipper.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So, I'm watching Teen Wolf, and I'm enjoying it, and I love me some Stiles more than I've loved anyone since Kenzie (wait...OMG...that would be amazing...) and Derek is sure tall dark and silent (okay, he's probably not all that tall).

However, where does Sterek come from, other than it would be as hot as shit and all the other guys are taken? I'm not seeing any actual subtext, and this ship seems to be the primary non-canon ship in the fandom.

I am saying this as a Sterek-in-my-free-time shipper. It's not like Dean/Castiel or Peter/Neal where I can point to the canon that I am launching a ship from, and lots of it. Or like Dean/Sam where I can say where other people are. It's more like Sam/Gabriel and a best-possible-spare pairing.

What episodes should I be looking at? MTV just aired the series opener again, so maybe I'll get to see them all over in short order.

I'm coming to believe that non-canon ships should come with primers for the newbies, including episode guides.

Unrelated to all of that, and on the topic of a canon ship, Scott and Allison getting together is adorable as all get out. I love those two. I think it's great that the fandom isn't shoving her aside and putting Scott with Stiles.

Particularly since the actors live together. In SPN fandom, that would mean they're secretly married!

I'd say probably from the snark. There have been one or two episodes were Derek and Stiles have been forced to work together and there was some good snark.

Is there any actual relationship subtext?
