A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I never actually saw Middleman, but I like how Javi is willing to spill on what would have happened next with his shows. (I remember his laying out the end of Jake 2.0 in great detail back in the day.)
I know different creators have different views on that sort of thing. Some want to get the information out there, some (such as Joss) like to hang onto it in the hopes of using it for some continuation in a different format and others (like Greg Weisman) simply don't want to dwell on the past and/or feel a mere description wouldn't do the story justice.
ETA: I don't think any of the views is wrong or right, but obviously I like finding out what would have happened when something I was invested in ends too soon. But I don't begrudge creators that don't want to just put it out there.
I never actually saw Middleman
It’s seriously worth seeking out.
It’s seriously worth seeking out.
It is one of those shows that's in the "I should watch that one of these days" categories in my mind, but there's so many shows I used to watch and haven't had time to catch up on (Chuck, Eureka, BSG, Supernatural, and Doctor Who, for starters) that starting a new show that's no longer airing gets put on the backburner.
Hopefully one of these days.
But the (sad) thing about The Middleman is that it's short and sweet. You could breeze through it in a weekend!
Kalshane,
I kind of do begrudge creators for withholding that information. At some point, the show is most clearly dead. Throw the fans a bone.
Let me know when you are ready, I can loan you the DVDs.
I really want to know what was going to happen on Sarah Connor, dammit. That was a brilliant show, and it's just so damned unfair it was cancelled.
Maybe some of the writers are silent because they actually had no freaking clue what was going to happen next?
But if there were more stories coming out in say a graphic novel kind of way, it would have happened already, or at least there'd be whispers of something new being in the works by now (considering how long these shows have been off the air. But what do I know?).
Wait, did Middleman come out on DVD? I only saw the original run, and that's a show I'd love to watch again.
Yep. 4 discs -- 12 episodes plus bonus features.
