A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I wish I could! I'll be on the road, though. I dunno why the summer fundraising trip is not involving more Korra-watching time scheduled in.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Lost Girl: Why did Trick decide not to tell the Ash about the Bounty hunter. This shit wasn't their fault - why take the blame?

How did the Ash not know that something was up? The body switching must have been pretty obvious. I guess that the Ash didn't retaliate against the Dark because the guy was crazy?

Also so Bo is the great and powerful Kissaboo? Even on this show I must have misheard the name.

I thought it was Isabo?

Also was I supposed to recognize the severed head the Ash was talking to? Or is it a mystery we will learn about later?

I thought that it was the Ash, which seemed to suggest that whoever almost got assassinated was an impostor.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What Vortex said, I just forgot to say it myself.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'd like to do a w&p for Korrra, but I can't guarantee I'll make it. Saturday mornings have a way of getting away from me.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Tom,

I am out of town, otherwise I would totally be up for it.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Thanks Vortex, for both the right name and what was up with th head.

How did the Ash not know that something was up?

He knew most of what was up. He did not know the bounty hunter was up to shenanigans, and the bounty hunter would have gotten into trouble if they had told him. And why the hell not tell him - I mean since Reynard had escaped in Lauren's body, he even knew Lauren was in the bar. Anything they might have want to keep secret from him he knew, and most of what went on was obvious. Why protect the bounty hunter instead of letting take his fair share of the blame?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I love a good body-switch story, so no complaints here.

I especially like that the characters used name badges -- not that the actors weren't up to a good job of playing each other, but that's what the characters would do.

Does anyone know if there is a third season planned for Lost Girl?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I may check out Korra this weekend. I haven't seen any of the episodes, and I've never watched any Avatar stuff. Should I dig into the back catalog first, to get up to speed? Or is Korra the sort of show where one can just jump in and enjoy it?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think a group of characters who don't know each other would use nametags, but if Buffy had a body switch--the audience would know who was who, and they should be able to tell.

I have to say, I liked the Kenzie actress, and I liked Dyson playing Kenzie. It was charismatic both ways. Bo, however, was the one with no tics, no characterstics (tic's not short for characteristic, is it? Distracted now.). It kinda underscored I'm not thrilled by the writing or the acting there either.

Most definitely not. SO much backstory.
