They should film that story and show it every Christmas.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I read some post on Tumblr about a really complicated theory involving Aang and Sokka and Toph at a trial 40 years ago, of a guy who was a bloodbender, and how Tarrlock is that guy's son.

Yeah, people are suggesting Tarrlok is Yakone's son, given that the general assumption is that the flashbacks are to Yakone's trial and we just saw bloodbending going on there.

Like could an airbender bend the air out of your lungs?

Fanon is that that's what Monk Gyatso did, why his skeleton is surrounded by dead Fire Nation soldiers.

Could a firebender stop the tiny little combustions going on in your cells? Could an earthbender bend the minerals out of your body?

I think it's not "bad" sides but enhanced sides, so firebending has lightning and earthbending has metalbending.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I'm still not convinced that's what Amon is doing, since I think you need a special connection to the spirit realm to spirit-bend. OTOH, it doesn't appear to be chi-blocking because he's only touching their heads, right? I dunno.

There is a theory that he's just doing really heavy-duty chi blocking. (He touches their head and--undoubtedly-not-a-coincidence--the back of the neck where a pressure point called the "amon" is located.) We'll have to see if that's actually the case. I'm certainly willing to accept it may be.

Still, the "previously rare abilities becoming common" on Korra seems a bit much. But I could be jumping to conclusions and it will be explained satisfactorily.

Eureka - what did Jack say to Allison in the preview? I liked a lot of the character interactions in this ep. I'm trying to figure out the last thing I saw the major in.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Is anyone watching Teen Wolf this season? It seems even cheesier and more over the top this season but not as enjoyable for some reason.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I am. Just started getting into it again.

"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

Is anyone watching Teen Wolf this season?

What was the story with the principal? I didn't get that, because I thought that Allison's family considered themselves the good guys. How does the torture and murder of an innocent (non-werewolf) person fit into that? And I seriously have no interest in Allison or the big epic romance whatsover. I watch purely for Stiles. Him, I love.

Apparently now that grandpa is in town they're just evil. My guess is Allison's father will actually have to save Scott from his father by the end of the season.

I agree about Stiles, he's really the reason to watch. I like the Alpha too, but mostly just to look at.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Stiles/Derek is the bomb!

I read one Teen Wolf fic because I was exploring how other fandoms did one of my favourite slash tropes (sharing a bed), and it was really enjoyable. And? Full of het relationships as well as Derek/Stiles. They were barely even the main pairing. Not a vilified woman in sight.

Has Supernatural ruined me?
