Yay! Ausiello kept saying that a final season was a safe bet, but I was still holding my breath.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Would this be the place to discuss "Touch", the new Kiefer Sutherland show?
Does anyone want to admit watching it? I'm afraid I'm getting sucked in. I need other people to tell me if this is a mistake.
Is it something that I should be interested in?
Well, Kiefer has an autistic son who is obsessed with numbers and patterns. The kid never talks but his patterns and numbers keep leading Keifer into these unintended encounters. Danny Glover was in the first few episodes and was helping Keifer interpreret the "messages" the son was trying to convey.
The background is that his wife was killed in one of the towers on 9/11. Some of the patterns lead back to that.
but there is also an ongoing subplot of people all over the world becoming connected by seeming random things. Like a lost cell phone that is circling the globe because people find it, post stuff on it and slip into the pocket of someone else's luggage. So a lot of the dialoge in each episode is captioned because the people don't speak English.
Because of this, it's hard to have it on in the background and know anything about this on-going subplot. You only hear the A story about Keifer and son. The B story requires actual paying attention.
So, I realized this after a few episodes and actually paid attention to the latest episode and was quite taken by the globe-trotting subplot.
I just noticed that Philosopher's Stone is among the words that appear in the Fringe opening sequence.
'A' for effort on identifying the correct commuter rail line (though it would be 'Salem Station', not 'Newburyport/Rockport Station'), but that is SO NOT Salem. One of the better laughs I've had all day, though (right after Walter's "You've tried LSD before, haven't you?").
Also, that fact that they drove from Cambridge to Salem in a couple of minutes...BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I wish.
OK, well the end of that took all the funny out of it. Sad now. I agree with Walter's last words. So much.
Also, since they heavily referenced a non-existent Salem Bay College - is the blue universe not really our universe, sloppy research, or legal caution since there is a Salem State College?
Frank -- yeah, the quick drive is the obvious fantasy element in this universe... blue, pink, paisley, whatever.
Is this the first time the two Walters have had a direct conversation. Not that Mr. Noble doesn't always do good work, but sitting side by side like that was quite something.
It's just - why get so weirdly specific as Newburyport/Rockport (which is the commuter rail line that Salem is on) when "Salem Station" (such as it is - there's no station building; just a platform) would be correct?
