Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

we used to believe that only Joss could be that cruel.

Heh, I was thinking about this while watching the TW finale, and I don't remember either Joss or Tim was ever cruel enough to off two main characters at one go - Serenity and (probably) Not Fade Away being exceptions, but also not just season finales (vs. movie or series finale). I'm sure someone will remind me if I'm mistaken.

Ann, that's a ferret.

"Tabula Rasa" comes closest. Giles went back to England, and Tara broke up with Willow. While Giles returned, and Tara never went away completely, we couldn't be sure of either at the time.

But that chance they'd come back was there. Or should I say greater - this is Torchwood we're talking about, after all.

Owen, Susie, Jack (how many times?). Was Rhys dead, or just gravely wounded? I remember him being shot, but I thought there was another time that he was dead, but then some wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff fixed it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Rhys died in last season's finale.

And it's pretty well implied that Ianto died in Cyberwoman, and Jack brought him back to life with the magical healing power of his lips.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Jesus God, does everyone die on this show?

Art Crawl!!!

BSG: Wired article about the animated end credit dealies. And I had no idea there there were "Easter eggs" in them:

Beyond the novelty of seeing a new animated bit each week, there's another bonus for Galactica fans: Hultsch embeds easter eggs in the animated closers. The names of directors and writers of movies being spoofed can be seen on binders atop file cabinets in the office scenes. Hultsch drives any cars that appear in the background, is pictured in a photo on the execs' office wall and plays a nerdy thug who appears in animations from seasons one and four.
