'Objects In Space'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I like to believe that the audience is capable of working from context clues.

And then I remember that I've met people.

Really Kenzie? You ate soup in a house where a member of another species was sick? You now officially have the survival instincts of 2 month old kitten.

Also,at least snooping and probably attempting to steal from your house of refuge while you are sick? Not exactly prosurvival either. But then Mr Elf or Mr Brownie or whatever already showed he was pretty forgiving when you stole from him the first time. Trading a prized possession to save your ass confirms this. Still I suspect there are limits past which he can't be pushed, and you will regret it if you ever find out what they are.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

All is well that ends in pizza.

Has anyone else noticed that even in the fairy tale world, they don't seem to have happy endings?

Their Happy endings aren't shown, yet. Besides Happy endings are documented, we're seeing the beginnings and middles.

I also think August is adding stories, not so much restoring the missing pages for Regina to find.

Also? I want to see Henry's face when he see new pages.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Wow. I can't believe I like Kenzi. But I do, even though she was COLOSSALLY stupid this week. In fact, I like her more than Bo still, because she has a heart.

The actress playing Bo is very pretty, but I don't get succubus. In a way, I guess it lends credence to the supernatural component, because it's not like those vibes are coming through my TV, but I'd like to feel a bit more seduced. She's a decent action heroine, but suddenly I'm left wanting in the sexual heroine category.

The relationship stuff is for crap. Just because actual real grownups do act that way doesn't make it even marginally entertaining.

Well she does not seem to have the acting skill of the woman playing Kenzie. Tbough Le Nubian says she gets better.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ha! yes. and Kenzie has grown on me, but in Season 2, I think Kenzie has/displays a serious alcohol problem and I cannot get past that.

LeN, I'm pretty up front about loving Dean Winchester's alcohol problem. Do you think it will still turn me off?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

hmm. that's interesting actually because I am neutral about Dean's alcohol problem. It has been an issue for so long and is so much a part of his character that I'm okay with the portrayal. For the character in question, it is only addressed ONCE and some really shitty things happen prior and none of those have been discussed. at all. I feel like there have been serious problems and yet no behavior change. It's insanity.
