Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
UNIT holding Tosh in a secret prison for the rest of her life with no trial. um...weren't they supposed to be good guys?
Two words -- Guantanamo Bay. Aren't we supposed to be the good guys?
Is what Unit did to Tosh any different than what Torchwood does to random aliens that wind up in Cardiff thanks to the Rift?

YES EXACTLY!
Is what Unit did to Tosh any different than what Torchwood does to random aliens that wind up in Cardiff thanks to the Rift?
Also, true!!!
I wonder if it will be addressed at all?
Also, it would be nice if we saw them trying to "work" the rift so that they could start sending creatures back where they belong.
Well, that's okay because it's aliens, not people. We don't give any rights to aliens.
OTOH, I'd like to see some evidence that they don't lock up all aliens, just the dangerous ones.
They really don't seem to know very much about the rift - given that they've been studying it for over 100 years.
The Owen love was the only thing that I didn't like about Tosh. Regardless of how I feel about Owen, he treated her badly, and I wanted her to be smart enough to figure out that it wasn't a good idea. I would even give her her crush up to a certain point, but after he was a complete jerk to her, I wanted her to be stronger.
This. I kept thinking, what if there was some guy working there that kept following Tosh no matter how many signals she had given that she wasn't interested? I didn't feel sorry for Tosh's unreturned affections after a time. I wanted her to accept the boundries Owen put in place and for her to stop declaring her love after it wasn't returned. I liked Tosh so I wanted her to be able to be sad, but then move on to acceptance. Even at the end, I think Owen felt more compassion and gratitude toward Tosh than anything romantic.
I agree with you, Austin. Tosh's unrequited love/obsession bothered me immensely.
Austin said it better than I did.
