Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Fringe - good creepy use of that Bryan Ferry song. I'm glad it didn't end in murder or I'd associate it with that from now on, and it was my favorite song of his last disc.

"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

Just wanted to point this out on the Cable Drama description:

Thread for the discussion of original cable drama--but not scifi/fantasy (that's Boxed Set!) or pay-to-play (that's Premium Cable!). Psychics, detectives, surgeons, and firemen welcome. [NAFDA]

So according to that, shouldn't AHS be over here? Unless Zombies are considered scifi/fantasy and ghosts aren't?

Fringe:

Peter helping Lincoln? Adorable.

Also - what??!?!! Nina!

I'm very confused about where and whether Peter's Olivia really exists anymore.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

But see, I think that's actually realistic, and part of what makes it interesting, Dana. This went down, what? Two months ago? People are going to make stupid decisions. People are forced WAYYYYYY out of their comfort zones -- how will they react when it comes to an extreme situation and a complete revision of the world as they know it?

It's the struggle and the fuck-ups and the heroism and the shifts in true character coming out that I find so fascinating. Sure, it's frustrating. But I think it reflects a pretty good strata of reactions and personalities.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

People are forced WAYYYYYY out of their comfort zones -- how will they react when it comes to an extreme situation and a complete revision of the world as they know it?

By making the women do all the laundry and cooking, and punishing Andrea when she insists on learning how to shoot?

I'd rather be in an apocalypse managed by you.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Also - what??!?!! Nina!

I know! I was wondering what was up with the sudden migraines, and gaaaah.

Also, this show is so good at the tragic monsters.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Lincoln totally joins the woobie list with Peter and Walter. Our Lincoln, at least. If this is still "our" world, for that matter.

Did they ever say what happened to the AlternaNina before the big event? I honestly can't remember. I know they mentioned something about AlternaBell's fate, but I memfault on the specifics.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

If this is still "our" world, for that matter.

I don't think it is. I think that's why the credits are orangey/gold.

I still don't understand how, though, given the Observer's comments. It does mean that Peter doesn't have to rewrite time to get home, though: he just needs to go sideways, rather than reconstruct the universe.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I love The Walking Dead like whoa.

I may be taking it a little too seriously. History channel had a statement about SmallPox only existing two places:some place in Russia and the CDC in Atlanta. My reaction: We're fucked, that blew up!

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

We're fucked, that blew up!

That was the reason the safety protocols called for it to be blown up -- So that all those deadly diseases would be completed incinerated.
