Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

All is well that ends in pizza.

My brother's a nuclear engineer, and he found he whole thing laughable. I didn't pay attention when he was explaining why, because I don't really care.

I did think it kind of strange that anything would vent into a control room, at any time, emergency or not.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Who 4.3: I thought that was very classic Who, especially wrt Donna's comment of not knowing who/what was right. Do you think the comment about the Doctors song being nearly over was about the end of the series? In the near future?

DebetEsse, regarding your comment about the song being over; there have been a few hints, including what the augers/soothsayers said in Pompeii (something about "her" to the Doctor, and about something being on her back to Donna - can anybody remember the exact quote?). According to Wikipedia, the music playing when the Ood mentioned the Doctor's song was the Rose-Farewell music. I think we're already building up to the finale, à la Bad Wolf/Mr. Saxon.

Also, does anybody else think that there might actually be something in the bees disappearing? Or is that just a big, buzzy red herring ?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Yeah, I assumed that the "she" in that one was Rose, and recognized it as a similar pronouncement to what the Face of Boe said at the start of last year.

It would be wicked cool if they did tie in the bees. But I don't know how they'd do it well (hmm...maybe there's a bee collective brain buried somewhere.)

I thought that was just a joke.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I thought that was just a joke.

More like a reference to current events, if that is what you mean. Link to article on topic in whitefont: [link] There was an episode of Nova on it, which suggested that they are disappearing not due to one single cause but multiple causes - environmental toxins plus pathogens such as fungi and mites plus malnutrition from lack of variety in the diet due to being turned out to pollinate single-crop farms. There may have been other causes into the bargain that I do not remember.

Unless you meant the references to it were meant to be pop-culture current events jokes rather than a set-up for the season finale's Big Bad . In which case I totally just rambled on beating a dead beehive horse.

I meant the latter, actually.

Ooops. Sorry.

Art Crawl!!!

Yes!

I was thinking about what pilots are left on Galactica: ones we know - that is -- basically just Racetrack and Hotdog (of those we know well) and Narcho (who I mainly recognize because he was the YED's son at the end of season 1 of SPN.)
