A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Erin,
The scene where Rick died was really emotional for me. I really believed Shane was devastated in that hospital. He even pulled the gurney in front of the room as camoflage to protect Rick's "dead" body from the walkers. My basis of their love has been from a place that I think Shane genuinely was trying to help his partner's son and wife alive. If I had been Shane, I think I would have spilled the beans rather than continuing to protect Rick. The rest of it, yeah, shane's been a dick. That's another thing that I've liked is that even "heroes" like Rick, lorie, Dale, and Carol have all made really bad decisions. These are all anti-heroes. Love it.
Eta: I'm agreeing with your other points ( especially Ed, did Carol say she knew he was molesting Sophia?) but trying to type this on phone. OMG, I should have a real keyboard by Thursday.
Shane/Rick
Damn, I'm going to have to look for fan fic now.
Carol just said that he's looked at his daughter in an inappropriate way. I think the implication was that the intent to molest was there, Carol was aware of it and tried to protect Sophia from him.
I think Shane and Rick were true friends, and hell, I think that Lori and Shane hooking up was perfectly natural and understandable under the situation. I think Shane has true feelings of loyalty and friendship for Rick.
BUT...since Shane has fallen in love, or what he thinks is love, with Lori, and since Rick has taken over the leadership role, both of the group and in Lori's bed, AND he feels guilty for leaving Rick -- although it was understandable, really -- he's not handling it well. At all. I mean, no one's perfect, but Shane sighting on Rick? That ain't friendship or love. You know there's some bad juju brewing in his head.
I don't think Shane is a bad guy; you know, EBIL. But I think he thinks with his dick and his testosterone at the expense of his head.
And ITA with the antihero thing. Although I don't think they can all be quite classified as antiheroes. The show is all about normal people thrust into extraordinary circumstances, and how societal roles and rule break down, or do not, when sheer survival instinct has taken the helm.
And THAT is what makes it so interesting to me. I think that's the core of any zombie movie. What will you do to retain your life -- and your humanity? What is the cost? How far will you go? Where will your put your loyalties versus your survival? When does a moral system or ethical code break down when it comes to live or die?
Exactly so, Erin. That's what raises this above the "run around shooting zombies in interesting ways" genre.
(Which does have its points, cf. Dead Alive and Zombieland)
Me, while I'd get a revolver, I'd also get a number of shotguns because that would help with the accuracy problem.
I'd get as many weapons as I could get my hands on. Darryl's crossbow is optimal, really; Silent, doesn't need the arm-atrength it takes to draw a long bow, silent, reusable ammo. It's a little slower than guns....but then again, doesn't attract a horde.
And yes, I did love Zombieland; it was mostly adventure and humor, but I think ZL DID also have some of the same elements I mentioned above; it's just that the focus wasn't on it.)
Oooh, Zombieland/TWD fanfic! NO -- I do NOT have the time.
I don't like it. I just don't see how they can make it work.
I'm not even sure about the next season of Misfits, because of the thing that's happened.
Which is totally canon in a webisode, but I guess is off limits here?
I agree. I'm kind of irritated about it.
Ooooh, are the webisodes out there?
Apparently it's behind here. The blurb tells you what happens, basically. I didn't log in to check.
