Zoe: Planet's coming up a mite fast. Wash: That's just cause, I'm going down too quick. Likely crash and kill us all. Mal: Well, that happens, let me know.

'Shindig'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I would like, at some point, for the stakes not to be THE END OF ALL TIME. Just for variety.

Yes, very much this.

I can see how this might not be technically a cheat on the concept of "fixed points," but it still felt an awful lot like a cheat to me. On the other hand, you know, it's kind of nice that the Doctor isn't dead, so we still get More Show.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

My comment on the finale.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Oh, dear. The parents on the Secret Circle graduated from high school the same year I did according to the yearbook they showed in last weeks episode.

I refuse to believe that I am old enough to have a teenage child. Also all of the parents had their kids as teenagers?

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Terra Nova: So Malcom was after the Dad's wife? That's not cool. As soon as I saw all those birds/rats/dinos on the fence, I knew we were in for some gory pecking. :shivers:

eta: They are being so naive if they think closed windows and doors are going to keep them out. Holy crap, it's the smoke monster!

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Shades of The Birds! Never a good sign to see winged things gathering on a fence!

I'm also reminded of Pitch Black.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Oh, good reference! The show might keep me if they have enough attacking dinosaurs each episode. But it's Fox, so I'm trying not to be attached at all. I also tried not to roll my eyes at the solution because it's the future back to the past so maybe you can make chemicals and disperse them that quickly.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

The "moss on the north side of the trees" bit made me grind my teeth.

Then I got a phone call, so I muted the sound and stopped paying much attention. Now I have to decide if it's worth watching the rest.

"you have to let art just wash over you". It's much better that way.
