Faith: A kid. Angel's got a kid. Wesley: Connor. Faith: A teenage kid born last year. Wesley: I told you, he grew up in a hell dimension. Faith: Right. And what, Cordelia spent her last summer as… Wesley: A divine being. Faith: Uh-huh. Can I just ask--What the hell are you people doing?

'Why We Fight'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

What do you think? Beverly's group hijacked the ship?

I'm hoping for (benevolent) aliens.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

The ABSOLUTE comment about Rory's faith, or lack-thereof, seemed so out of the blue. I got where they were going with the Doctor shaking Amy's faith in him, but it didn't ring true. Amy's of the crazy brainwashed faith that would be all "chuh, you're just messing with me to make me lose faith, I totally believe that you're awesome enough to make me lose faith in you in order to save me, ergo, I have faith in you to save me." So, it's got to be the slightly shaken faith that is the key.

I think it's also maybe Amy having her eyes opened to the Doctor's fear: (and I wonder if that plays into what was behind his door) that his companions die.

I loved that Rory and Amy stepped off the magical carpet ride. Between conversations here and Rory's past-comment, it almost felt like a foregone conclusion that they might ignore. And then they didn't, which I though was awesome. Here you go, Amy, get off while you're still alive.

Was it Jon B. who called it about Jinx working undercover? Good call.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Oh thank GOD Jo is just leaving Eureka! I spent way too much of that ep thinking she was pregnant.

Aliens would be way cooler than Beverly.

Ha, ha! I had that fleeting thought, too, Jessica, but I just couldn't even. Aliens would be awesome, but I don't hold out a lot of hope.

How are people feeling about Alphas? I like a couple of the characters, but I just can't get excited about it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think that was my favourite season of Eureka.

I like Alphas. I find I skip right to it after Eureka and barely pay attention to W13. It's not great, or anything, but Gary sure is.

Yeah, he would be the character I enjoy. I did like the ep where he and the... strong dude teamed up. There were some hilarious and brilliant moments between them.

ETA: Most definitely my favorite season of Eureka.

Art Crawl!!!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Yeah, he would be the character I enjoy. I did like the ep where he and the... strong dude teamed up. There were some hilarious and brilliant moments between them.

Gary annoys Bill so much he HAS to be doing on purpose, which I love. Gary's got issues, but he does seem to have a snarky sense of humor.

Colin must have a stunt double (I've never thought to ask), but he did say the singularity bomb stunt was ouchy.
