the implication that any accent in the history of television could be worse than Angelus' Irish has me intrigued.
Not TV, but Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins is the gold standard of bad accents. Here's a test: Go up to a British person and say the three words, "Dick Van Dyke." Nine times out of ten, their response will be, "Oh, god, that accent in Mary Poppins!"

Sean Connery defies accents and time and space, and spandex.
He's like the Chuck Norris of accents.
The thing that really got me was the Scottish character with the Belgian accent. I mean, nice looking guy, but ....
Vampire Diaries legal issues--mostly occupancy, and I realise that either we really didn't think about what Joss did, or he did it well.
I don't think the inviting people inside thing was ever brought up as much on Buffy as it is on TVD. With the exception of Angel and Spike, vampires weren't really just showing up randomly at Casa Summers.
