Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Doctor, doctor, give me the news...I've got a bad case of loving you.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

That is cool. I wish they had done (or did they?) a special one for Walter's trippy 50s ep. Fifties Fringe would be cool.

I was just thinking that Brown Betty and LSD could have had some interesting titles. They were framed pretty firmly in the blue-verse though. I also wonder what fantastical drug trip they might take toward the end of this season. Mushrooms maybe?

Peter Wingfield has enrolled at the University of Vermont Medical School - [link]

That's all kinds of awesome and sort of inspiring; not that I want to be a doctor, but that 43 isn't an "it's too late" age at all for many, many, many things to be pursued. Go on with your bad self, Peter! (Also, he's just yummy.)

Sausage and eggs:

Yeah, I figured since Brown Betty was a trip rather than an actual location, that might be why it didn't get a special intro. Would have been cool, though!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Jeez, Peter Wingfield is younger than I am? ::sigh::

My Tivo didn't catch Eureka this week. Is it on Hulu?

JenP - Sep 01, 2011 10:48:27 am PDT #18004 of 30001

No, he's 48 (I think you just posted your age somewhere, because I can't remember it exactly, but seems like it was younger than 48) -- I'm 43, so... never too late.

It's not on Hulu yet; I watched it on demand. Actually, it looks like Hulu is waiting until the end of the on air season to start posting eps. Huh.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Yeah, that's why it took me so long to get caught up after I missed an ep on vacation - I didn't want to buy it on iTunes so I had to wait until it was rebroadcast.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Will miss Jinx, but I guess this isn't the last of his run. They're setting something up here, clearly, so I assume he'll be back.

My completely unspoiled guess is that he'll be recruited by the bad guy but in the end it'll turn out that Mrs. Wassername had him going deep undercover.

Now that you say that, I remember your posting about it.

Randomly, I miss BSG, and I hope Blood and Chrome is good. (I mean, I miss having a show like BSG to watch; I could rewatch actual BSG), but I miss the gritty, grim, intense, suspense. It had its warts, but, man, I looked forward to that show every week.

Oh, Jon, I bet you are exactly right.
