Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Eureka, OTH,continues to be awesome. Really good writing and a tight ensemble. They play off one another wonderfully. And the difference between Zane and Pete is that I don't think the writers think Zane being an asshole is cute. I think Jo deserves better, but the writing and acting convinced me that Zane is what she wants.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Loved Wheaton's character this past episode, so sure that "it was all a test" that he continues to sit beneath the falling ceiling trying to finish his cranes.

Also loved how the crane wire became essential later. That was a cherry atop a plot convenience.

Art Crawl!!!

When the TOS fight music came on in W13 - I was stunned and then laughed way too much.

Eureka has just been excellent this summer.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Warehouse 13. Pete is way more annoying than Myka. There is a difference between a free spirit and an asshole. Guess which category I think Pete falls into.

I knew there was something different about this season!

If I could say this any better, I would. The writers on Eureka should use this as a testimonial.

amen. I don't like Pete. They're trying to make him the loveable asshole, but they are more successful in the asshole part than the loveable part.

Amen, part 2.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I don't remember Pete being that much of an asshole last season, but this season he certainly is.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

The whole videogame episode of Warehouse 13 smacked of fanfiction. Fargo was borrowed from Eureka without bringing his character development this season with him, and there was too much emphasis on videogame cliches and hurr hurr breasts jokes.

That is a real change.

call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

I made one of my friends start watching Doctor Who and she just got to Doomsday and now she hates me. Whoops!

Additionally, now that Fringe is done I'm back to Doctor Who, I watched up through Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead today, and - how do we all feel about River? I don't like her. Although I suppose it's because I can see where that plotline is going (please don't tell me, though!) and I'm one of those delusional people who doesn't accept that Rose is stuck in the other universe.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Although I suppose it's because I can see where that plotline is going (please don't tell me, though!)

Where do you think it's going? We won't confirm or deny, obvs, but if that's what's keeping you from liking her, I'm interested to know.

I believe there are plenty of people in fandom who love River and plenty of people who hate her. For various reasons, I suppose.
