Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Phooey

I raise your phooey with... another phooey.

Y'all have GOT to watch this Doctor Who vid:

That was way-cool.

And it shows how this season, new River episodes make me see the older River episodes with new eyes. I was thinking earlier how River being a weapon helped her kill lots of Silents in her Circle of Blaster Death.

Has Moffat always had this River arc in mind? I mean, when he first created the character for Silence in the LIbrary / Forest of the dead (before he was show-runner)>?

Also, haven't we seen another River who as a girl was held in some secret facility and turned into a weapon?

It's a shame about less Who (especially coming what feels like so soon after the last lean year), but realistically it's probably the only way they have of keeping the Doctor actors for anything like the time they need them. Making Who is a lot of hard work and, bearing in mind that your fame levels are going to go through the roof as soon as you get the part, the pay and variety you could get elsewhere will start to look pretty attractive very quickly. So the alternative is probably to end each season with a regeneration, which I don't think anybody really wants.

And in a way I'm relieved that Stephen Moffat might finally be able to get some sleep next year.

Ummm... is the video supposed to play as well as the audio? Or is it just a slide thing?

eta: Oh, it's a podcast.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

The password is just above the box that asks for the password.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Did anyone watch The Nine Lives of Chloe King last night? I thought it had some potential.
