Woe to the fucking wicked.

I do like that Rory's doing things that aren't All About Amy.

And, for reasons that defy understanding, I forgot that this is a show that does 2-parters, and, with 7 minutes to go, I was thinking, "How are they going to resolve this in the time left?"

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I didn't know it was a two-parter, so I was doing the same thing.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I do like that Rory's doing things that aren't All About Amy.

Andi figures it's Rory being a nurse, and helping out, more than him ignoring Amy. He sees someone in pain, and wants to help.

He may be 1000 years older than the Doctor, but a good chunk of that was staying out of the way of people..and being a fake human. So he has a bit of empathy to these "fake" humans.

The Gangers remind me of Odo from DS9

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I do like that Rory's doing things that aren't All About Amy.

Oh, yes. He's an interesting foil to the Doctor in a lot of ways, and he's quickly shaping up to be one of my favorite companions.

Art Crawl!!!

And evilly - they're going to skip Memorial Day weekend so we have to wait two weeks for the second part!!

I do like Rory very much and it's cool that he has his own storyline in this one.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Are they skipping next week in the UK too?

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I think this was my favorite episode so far this season -- creepy and thinky, good acting, good writing. I love Rory more and more with every episode. And Doppel!Doctor! I wonder if they might take this in a Farscape direction for a while -- what would it be like traveling through time and space with TWO doctors??

They should be able to tell the Doctors apart by their footwear.

Ah, of course -- good call.

So do we know what the acid actually does, besides dissolve anything it comes into contact with? I mean, do we know what the Army is using it for?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Where do the doppel clothes come from, anyway?

There was an offhand remark early on that the ooze also created the clothes.

They should be able to tell the Doctors apart by their footwear.

Nice!

No, it's airing on BBC1 May 28th.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

It's probably just me and my place of living on this planet, but I was all "oh, God. It's The Conflict in a nutshell. It's our conflict".

So it was one of the most political/looking-into-the-abyss episodes of DW I've watched, to a painful level.

Final thoughts: I love Rory. And I wish this episode would have more depth, because right now it seems just a trick and not a meaningful episode (even with what I wrote before. I know, I can never be satisfied).

They should be able to tell the Doctors apart by their footwear.

Good call indeed. But really, a dopple!Doctor was so obvious. A dopple!Amy, however...
