A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

The nice thing about Mark and Morgan Sheppard is that this isn't even the first time they've played the same character at different ages: they did it once a few years ago, in an NCIS episode. I love it: I have great fondness for Morgan Sheppard and his sexy, sexy voice.
I think Amy isn't pregnant, but is confabulating the pregnancy out of the illness she gets from the Silence, the urgency, and the awareness that something is wrong.
I do admit that I wanted Rory to yell something when he saw the Silence because that would help, except that of course that would defeat the plot. Still, if he or River had said something, then the Doctor might have had some notice. Argh.
I had a question about River and the Doctor--oh, right. If every time she sees the Doctor, it's earlier in her timeline and later in his, how is it that she even recognized Amy and Rory?
Also, I find it hard to believe that the Doctor went another 200-something years without regenerating. He must have had a very boring time of it. Unless he was lying, which he might have been, as a way of warning them somehow.

How do you know she hasn't met them earlier in her timeline (and later in theirs)?
Point, Jon.
I'm reminded of Chief O'Brien complaining about quantum mechanics. So confusing!
Temporal mechanics? But yeah... very confusing!
Well, we know temporal mechanics gives Captain Janeway a headache, so how can we expect to do better?
And... anybody else fancying a nice crossover with Dr. Song and Capt. Janeway working together?
Watched the new Who with friends - which is always a pleasure. I really enjoyed it!
Evil cliffhanger!
Can't wait of next week.
And seasons 1-4 of Doctor Who are on sale at Amazon today - 61% off.
I decided to order Season 4 so I that I could rewatch Silence in the Library.
Yes, temporal mechanics, Jon. I blame allergies.
Loved the episode. I only hope they soon drop that stupid, stupid pre-credit narration by Amy. I know they are trying to get new US-ian viewers, but please.
Oh dear, what did they have? Did they have some weird thing after the teaser but before the credits??
Whoo fun! I loved the episode and got very tense at the end when I realized it was going to be a two-parter. Though the preview for next week seemed to spoil much of the creepiness of the last scene, IMO. (Are the previews different for US and UK viewers? I saw the UK version, which has
Amy saying something to the girl in the spacesuit along the lines of, "I thought I shot you" or "I'm sorry I shot you."
Sorry for the overcautious spoilerfonting, I'm just not sure if US viewers saw that bit.)
Because I am gullible, I seriously believed for a minute that they were going to kill off 11 and give us a whole new Doctor, but I liked the setup (loved the Doctor trying to figure out why everyone was so upset with him) and am curious to see where it goes. I think we're obviously meant to believe that Amy is pregnant (from the Doctor's comment about her weight as much as from her announcement), but don't yet know whether or not I believe it. Ooh, maybe the little girl is her daughter? I know there's a theory that River is one of Amy's descendants, which could be cool...
