Well, quite a lot of fuss. If I didn't know better, I'd think we were dangerous.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Ah, sorry, I misread the story, it's about the filming of the opener. The picture with the story may be spoilery, but here's the link: [link]

edit: hmph, the story says Dr. Who has "a small fanbase" in the U.S. And that's a quote from someone who works on the show. See what he knows.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Apparently Torchwood was filming in SoCal last week. Barrowman...so close.

The tremendous line I waited in for the Dr. Who panel at Comic-Con would beg to differ. (And that's mostly just SoCal).

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Eh, what's Ballroom 20 in comparison to all of America?

Assuming the entire fanbase came to ComicCon, not much. However, if we're willing to assume that some of the fanbase was unable to attend, then...I'd like that person's definition of small.

eta: I was going to try to work out an actual proportion, but beyond knowing the approximate capacity of Ballroom 20, I have no hard numbers, so just had to go with tone instead.

I wouldn't have called the fanbase for the old Doctor Who small, much less the current incarnation.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I mentioned I met a Who fan on the train a month ago or so. He was surprised I was watching Who on my laptop, as he didn't think it was very popular here. I told him the new Who was.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I think it's less popular not in fans but in importance here, compared to Britain where it is an institution. It has a lot of fans here, but it doesn't have the same importance to the general culture.

This is probably valid. I was thinking we probably have as many actual bodies here (unless we don't), just 'cause we're really BIG, but yeah, it's definitely not part of the Race Memory, if you will, like it is there.

My sister told me she had passed away and I was devastated. No one in the world could ever replace her. She is the one and only alien fighter!"
