Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Torchwood teaser. No actual appearances by cast members. I'm surprised by how eager I got at the hints of the theme music at the end. I guess I'm hooked.
I read "Stetson" and "Sheppard" and thought Sam Sheppard. That man has a magical voice.

Once you go Captain Jack, you never go back?
Tell that to Dana.
Yeah, I don't know. Haven't watched the preview yet.
I will admit, losing Ianto after the massacre at the end of the previous season was horrible, especially for such a stupid reason. Definitely taking the Joss/Tim playbook too far. And while nazi demons were almost as stupid a reason to lose Doyle, I don't think there were the meta issues on the Torchwood side. It was just mean.
But, you know, Captain Jack.
Not that I'll be watching (legally) in real time since I don't have Starz.
I'm thinking the UK Being Human is on its best season yet. One more episode to go before it finishes, and I'm eager to see how it all plays out.
What I'm fascinated by is how the Box Tunnel Massacre -- which was played almost as a throwaway incident in the first series -- has come back to haunt Mitchell figuratively and literally and drive so much of the plot this season. That's neat and organic story-telling that is.
I agree - it's been amazing.
I've been watching the Torchwood reruns, and I just like Ianto so much. It's worse watching it now knowing his inevitable fate, because it's such a dumb, pointless fate.
Except I didn't watch Fragments, because people hopelessly buried under broken piles of concrete was so not what I needed for my entertainment dollar just now.
