Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

You are in for more fun! Are you spoiled for anything else?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Bits and pieces. The two episodes I randomly saw before picking up the DVDs were (1) the one where Kirk Acevedo gets killed and replaced and (2) the one where the real Olivia escapes from the (W)alterna-verse. So randomly big-time spoiler episodes.

It hasn't hurt my enjoyment of the show thus far. And knowing it goes beyond being a "freakazoid-of-the-week" show helped me get through some of the same-y-ness of season 1's episodes. It sounds like they're not stringing things out a la X-Files (or Lost) as much, which is also good.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wow. I will watch the hell out of that. Given the opportunity.

At least Sir Terry's health seems to be holding up.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I worry about Sir Terry.

Compassionately intolerant

Law and Order: Ankh-Morpork.

I commented in Natter, but will say again, I'm cautiously hopeful.

I loved Going Postal so much that I might name my next dog Pump 19. But, the City Watch is so perfect, I don't know that it could be done justice by a tv series.

Next, they'll being doing the Nac Mac Feegles and I will be very sad.

...Oh no, apparently Sam Raimi is already directing Wee Free Men. I say again, Oh NO. I get a very bad, Willow-esque (the movie, not the witch) feeling about this.

"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

I just finished Season 4 of new Doctor Who (except the specials). I want to have David Tennant's babies! I still love Chris Eccleston too though!

I love this show so much, and I can't believe I waited so long to watch it!

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I don't know Wee Free Men, but a series based on the Watch sounds like it could be innovative enough to work. I didn't see Going Postal (I have to find it, though - one of my favourite Discworld books) but I wasn't too impressed by the TV film of Hogfather. But since I got the impression no one else was either, they might have learnt from that.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Going Postal was well-night perfect. Definitely worth tracking down.
