'Smile Time'
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I wonder whether Walternate had ever specifically pondered the existence of another universe; he didn't seem to consider that a possibility when trying to understand why the kidnapper looked and sounded exactly like him. But given that he's Walter(nate), I don't think it's a leap that he would jump to that line of reasoning after the incident with Olivia. Which is so very cool.
Fringe: I liked the episode, but I'm trying to figure out what the point of it is since non of the major players seem to remember those events, other than Walternate. Also, did we know about Olivia's stepfather before this episode? And I can't remember if Walter's wife is still alive in the alternate universe.
I'm wondering about the memory issue too, sj. As for Olivia's stepfather, I was reminded that Olivia shot him (but didn't kill him) when she was nine. There was a first-season episode about that.
Walter's wife is alive in the alternate Universe, we met her when Peter crossed over with the group.
Thanks, I'm suddenly feeling the need to rewatch all of Fringe so that I can remind myself of all the details I seem to have forgotten.
I don't think he knew who she was.
I thought he called her Olive.
That was Walter, after she crossed back over. Walternate just stared at her and listened.
I was expecting some kind of memory wipe as a way to "help" Peter. Repressed trauma would be easier to buy if they were younger, but younger kids probably couldn't give the performances these kids did. I still think something else is up with the memories of the Cortexiphan kids since only a couple of them seem to remember.
Over On Mark Watches Fringe [link] for this week, I posted this:
I wonder if forgetting is one of the other kids future abilities. I would really like it if the kids choose to forget, even Peter, wanting to get past the pain of remembering the other side.
Note: Gratuitous link posting to note that Mark Watches is doing Fringe, too, in case anyone wants to expound.
