ION one of the account managers here at the office, just offhandedly told me that we had crates of Torchwood costumes in the warehouse for a WEEK, and I didn't even know it. I am bereft. I could have pawed at them as they were being re-crated to go back to Cardiff.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Skipping a bunch. Apologies, etc. if this has been posted before: Doctor Who enters the Construction Toy market
BBC Worldwide has announced a major new deal with Character Options' new Construction division which will see Doctor Who enter the construction toy market for the first time.
The Character Building range will include 3D micro-figures, brought to life with sculpted facial features whilst play sets will be uniquely tailored to Doctor Who. Fans will be able to build their own Doctor Who world with all their favourite characters including the Doctor and Amy Pond with their famous foes the Daleks, Cybermen and Weeping Angels.
They are all very cute....
Very very very late to the party, but I have to say that we just started watching BSG and OMG, y'all. O. M. G. Pretty Jamie B, really smart and layered writing, strong female characters, and James Callis being all yummy and nuts. And Tricia Helfer? Whoa. I said to the DH during one scene where she was invisible--"How can they not all be totally distracted by this woman all the time?"
Heh, right? Plus, she's a model-turned-actress who's actually a really good actress.

Another Baltar fan! Hurrah!
Plus, she's a model-turned-actress who's actually a really good actress.
That's what blew my mind when I started watching (midway through S2). I couldn't believe this model was such a good actress that I was able to tell exactly which Six she was as soon as she showed up on screen.

That's what I linked to, except it was a different site.
DH and I finally finished off the last few Caprica eps, and I have to say...huh???
I feel bad for the writing team because I think if this show had been allowed to develop on its own terms for a few seasons it could have turned into something really interesting. Instead, we got a desperate last-minute wrap up that kinda but didn't really tie it to BSG at all (if Zoe was an original skinjob, why wasn't she....one of the original skin jobs? And was Ellen just blowing smoke when she was telling everyone about how the Final Five created the next-gen cylons or what?
And the mafia stuff that never even vaguely connected with the original series except that okay, Bill Adama wasn't that Bill Adama, so...yeah. It does make me laugh knowing how noble Lee thought he was being, following in his grandfather's lawyerly footsteps. And then using Grandpa Consigliere's law books to defend Baltar, of all people. Heh. And poor Tamara! Zoe just up and left her in New Cap, er, Forest! Does she even get to be part of the Cylon army?
AND ANOTHER THING (I know, I'm ranting now) - are we really supposed to believe that the trigger to a Cylon in every home was MILITARY ROBOTS LANDING IN THE MIDDLE OF A SPORTS STADIUM AND SHOOTING CIVILIANS???? Like, if a squadron of Predator drones landed at the Superbowl and started shooting into the crowd, would Roomba sales spike? REALLY??
strong female characters
Mmmm, early Starbuck, Roslin, Dee, and Cally.
I want both of those mugs.
You know, if building a TARDIS is too much for you, how 'bout a TARDIS door?
