Pretty sure I will never NOT be scared of statuary. And gas masks.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
oh god, yes.
"Are you my mummy?"
Shame that Moffat wasn't mindful of their impact being diluted by repetition and the use of larger numbers of them. Kind of like how Dracula is riveting and macabre, but in a whole movie full of vampires they just become cannon fodder for the protagonists .
Yeah, Matt, I didn't love their second appearance either. Just not the same.
Plus, Moffat in series 5 randomly added all that weird crap to what the Angels could and couldn't do. "Look at them - but don't look at their eyes!" "Now just pretend to look at them with your eyes closed because that works just as well!"
But Blink is so much scary fun. Luckily I've never been afraid of statues so it didn't do long term damage, but the night I watched Blink I was super freaked out. I kept thinking, "How can this be a children's show in the UK?"
I would pay good money for a Weeping Angel statue for my garden. I would plant poison plants all around it....
Theo is me. I have the nasty plant list (from the university garden in the video game Oblivion) all ready to go.
I want two Weeping Angels for our garden - to position them facing each other. Lots of pretty flowering plants nearby and a bench. So many people would think it lovely. And a few would know what they were.
I would totally put Weeping Angel statues in my garden. There's a market here! Get on it, BBC!
