Stop means no. And no means no. So . . . stop.

Xander ,'Conversations with Dead People'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Podcasts are digital files which (once you subscribe) automatically download to your computer where you can listen to them, or load them onto your iPod to listen to (or if you have a smartphone you can automatically load them there).

There are podcasts which are radio shows (Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, TAL, Fresh Air, RadioLab), and there are podcasts which are never broadcast, like Stuff You Should Know, which is hosted by the Discover-Channel website Stuff You Should Know. There are even fiction podcasts, like the SF short story podcast Escape Pod, or the fantasy podcast PodCastle.

If you have iTunes, you can find all of these through the iTunes store, and most of them are free. The nicest thing is they update automatically so after the first time you subscribe, you don't have to do anything special to get them.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I think that`s the most important aspect of podcasts, that it`s push technology. It comes to you. I underutilize them because of my bandwidth limitation.

brillig

Ah, I was unaware of the delivery aspect, hence the 'cast part of the term.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I underutilize them because of my bandwidth limitation.

Some longer ones take awhile to download, but I have a pretty slow connection and haven't had any problem.

Here are my favorite podcasts.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Here are my favorite podcasts.

Those look great. Will try some out.

I can't recommend RadioLab highly enough, as well. It's amazing.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

No, it`s not the speed, it`s the 5gig cap.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

RadioLab is where I learned about the Murray Experiment and The Unibomber.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Being Human: S1 US starts on the 17th, and apparently S3 UK starts on the 23rd.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

ita, do you have a source on the second? I'd like to link it for interested parties I'd rather not point in this direction.
