I know, world in peril and we have to work together. This is my last office romance, I'll tell you that.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Oh, oh, it's the one with the Latin title.

Well, yeah. DS9 was the least Trek-ish of all the Treks. Which is, in part, why Voyager was such a disappointment to me: it felt like the franchise had gone backwards.

Or maybe, not, because the one I'm remembering is "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges", but regardless, cool title.

Written by Ron Moore. If we had only known back then, and hadn't encouraged him.

Especially since the premise of the show was so ripe for internal conflict, and it all got smoothed out in a few episodes. And don't get me started on how quickly 7 of 9 was un-assimilated.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

That DS9 ep, IIRC, is In the Pale Moonlight. The one that ends with Sisko looking at himself in the mirror, saying, "I can live with it," repeating the phrase as his face gets colder and colder. One of the best.

Great, now I want to rewatch DS9.

I would totes buy that Rygel plush toy except 1) he's the wrong colour and 2) it doesn't come with the Throne Sled.

And 3) it's $100. Yikes! For that price, I want an operating Throne Sled.

Thank you! I knew I was spelling it wrong, but I just couldn't remember the right one. Effing medicine head.

Well, that, too.

I was so excited when the Voyager did that awesome two-parter about the Time-Ship (Blind Tuvok! Scary-as-fuck Janeway!) then at the end, gave us the Biggest Reset Button of All Time. Ah, Voyager. You and your reset buttons. But while it lasted, it was some great fun dystopian AU time.
