Reynolds, I'm a dangerous-minded man on a ship loaded with hurt. Now, why you got me chatting with your peons?

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Compassionately intolerant

She called him 'Bro' a lot, but I don't recall it being made explicit.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

No, it was explicitly stated at the start. She said something like "meet my big brother, Jeffrey (no actual idea) Donovan" to Pete and Myka.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I believe his name is Joshua Donovan.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

OK, I totally missed that.

I believe his name is Joshua Donovan.
That is correct. It is Joshua.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Ginger, I suspect your knowledge of the actual CDC may lead to some unintentional hilarity if you ever watch The Walking Dead.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

There almost always seems to be either hilarity or annoyance at anything set in a town you know. For example, five minutes into the first episode of Vanished, they referred to the intersection of two streets that are parallel and went downhill from there.

Yes, well, the CDC building is portrayed as being rather technologically sophisticated.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

the real CDC wouldn't allow filming.

The real CDC finally cracked down on security a couple of years after 9-11. It would be kind of insane to let anyone film there, since that's where they keep the really scary stuff. Right after 9-11, in a feat of cognitive dissonance difficult to fathom, Congress voted down funding the CDC had been allocated for a new main building to replace the building where the hot zone lab was located, a badly built and way-too-small building with persistent leaks. They finally got the funding back and that new building is pretty high tech. The CDC is on a campus with several buildings, surrounded by high chain-link fence.

Re: Fringe

That is really, really, really fucked up.

And consider what show I'm talking about here.
