Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Hell, it'd be all right by me if they just changed the premise to all-flashback-all-the-time and ditched the modern characters in favor of following The Five's 19th century exploits. They even acknowledged that Tesla is Serbian and had Jonathan Young speak with an accent in the flashback, putting to rest a peeve of mine.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Just watched the last Chuck. They've just given up completely on making any sense, now. He has the Intersect! He doesn't have the Intersect! Oh, he has it again! Why? How? What the hell? No one knows. Incomprehensible plot twists.

I wish Linda Hamilton had more than two facial expressions. She doesn't seem to be playing either good OR evil. If the show reveals that Volkoff replaced her with a robot 12 years ago, I would believe that.

Also, I'm annoyed with the Buy More and the wacky comedic sidekicks who ceased to be funny two seasons ago. However, I'm still watching the show, because Zachary Levi charms me.

100% agreement with Matt. I love the flashbacks. And I think I love Watson most of all. I really want to see more of Watson.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Art Crawl!!!

Yes, what Matt, le nubian and ita said.

Also, this was the first episode with the invisible man, right? We'd only met his daughter before.

Love Watson. . . but Druitt's 19th century hair is nutty.)

That moustache Tesla was wearing in the opening sepia flashback scenes--what was that? It was Liam-flashback-level bad.

Compassionately intolerant

So BAD. The 'tache was all I could look at when it was on screen. I've never seen a picture of Tesla...off to google image.

Quite handsome! I love that little cock of the head, like, yeah, I'm a genius, wanna have sex?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'm way behind on Chuck. Nice use of Timothy Dalton!
