Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I don't have cable, so I'll be late to the zombie party, but I do want to see it, if only to see what they do with Atlanta. They were looking for zombie extras this summer, but I knew that shuffling and moaning in 90+ heat had the potential to turn me into an actual zombie.

If I were trying to get to CDC, I wouldn't go through downtown, but I suppose a zombie plague might take down traffic reports and Google maps.

a TANK was just sitting in the street, you know? I'd have to have a Hummer, minimum.

Strangely enough, I do believe that GPSs would still be workable a month after a Zombie Apocalypse, which wouldn't affect the satellites until they start to drift out of orbit when there's no corrections sent up from the ground.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I would be really uncomfortable going in without trying to get a lay of the land.

I think my first clue would have been the massive stalled exodus on the freeway out of town, that apparently happened so fast authorities weren't even around to convert the inbound lanes to contra-flow traffic for the evacuation.

Of course, I've always thought large cities would be deathtraps in a zombie apocalypse, and you'd want to head for military basis outside of metro areas to find the remnants of society.

Art Crawl!!!

I actually wondered how that horse survived being attacked on that farm.

There wasn't any evidence that zombies had actually made it to that farm, was there? If any stragglers happened to stumble by after the farm owners killed themselves, it might have been skittish enough to stay out of their reach. (Or alternately, a good hoof to the head from a frightened horse would probably put down an individual zombie pretty handily if Rick was able to do so with a few whacks of a baseball bat.)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Screw the remnants of society. Either somebody's gonna do something stupid and get everybody et, or they'll turn into a crazy military/religious cult. Humans are dangerous. If I'm trapped in a large city in a zombie apocalypse, I'll be on top of a tall building with a couple axes and fire extinguishers and the contents of all the vending machines. The only humans around me will be rational and reasonably calm, or dead with mysterious axe marks in their skulls.

I might be having a bad day, here.

I'll be using a really big bulldozer to dig a handy moat, or maybe a deathpit to lure the zombies into. Sort of a Zombie Motel....
