A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Lots of stuff in the new series is not entirely consistent with original series. They don't have to bound by it.
Yeah, as far as limited regenerations go I expect Steven Moffat will wave his hand at the audience and say, "This is not the canon you're looking for."

Like what else? (I haven't seen many "classic" Dr. Who episodes.)

Hmmm. Well, they are and they aren't. It doesn't need to be a straightjacket, but I can't see them outright defying the big things, either. But all that being said, I can see all sorts of ways around the situation, and frankly, canon's given them all sorts of escape hatches already.
From what I understand about the SJA things, it's an offhand comment, which means we only have the Doctor's word for anything. Which often is about as reliable as a used Buick.
The Doctor? An unreliable narrator? I am shocked! Shocked, I tell you!

Here is your Tardis, sir.
Rule #1: The Doctor lies.
Of course, River Song lies too....
Also,
Doctor: Amy, I need you to trust me - it's never been more important.
Amy: But you don't always tell me the truth.
Doctor: If I always told you the truth, I wouldn't need you to trust me.
One can imagine the conversation coming up again in a couple years:
Companion Du Jour: I thought you said you had an unlimited amount of regenerations!
Doctor: Weeeellll, not unlimited. Nearly so. A lot.
Companion Du Jour: Doctor ...
Doctor: Twelve.
ETA: Even though it's just speculation, and silly at that, thought it best to put things in spoiler font.
I liked the previous episodes of Sym-Bionic Titan, but they just took it to a whole new level tonight.
Anyone watching No Ordinary Family? We've been catching up. It's fun. Nice to watch something light-hearted in between all the heavy, depressing sci-fi (yes, Caprica, I'm looking at you).
