EVERY Friday? Oh God, the spoiler landmines.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
To be honest I can't break down the season enough to tell you my feelings about one half or another--once I've had a chance to read synopses I might have a go.
I'm basing my opinion off of one viewing of the entirety, as it aired. I've caught individual episodes in repeats, but I haven't gotten to my S3 DVDs for a complete rewatch yet. For me, it felt like there was more forward movement in the second half, as long as you avoided the endless lobbing of Special Destiny Molotov cocktails.
I don't have the English to express my OMGWTFBBQ? at the Dylan thing.
Yeah, I got nothin'. Deus ex Machina, and I don't think this one can be explained away.
EVERY Friday? Oh God, the spoiler landmines.
What P-C said. I haven't decided whether or not to be a spoiler whore this season.
I can't imagine they're going to stream new eps before they air on TV - I think the streamed eps will be available the Friday *after* they're broadcast. (The premiere isn't available right now, for example. Unless I'm completely blind in which case LINKLINKLINKLINKLINK.)
But at some point we might need to have a discussion regarding whether official streaming counts as broadcast. To me, if SciFi puts the entire episode out there for public consumption, the contents of that ep are no longer spoilers.

As much as the thought makes me twitch and cower under my desk in terror, something like this has been coming -- going back to when we all got TiVo, and then more and more with downloads and streaming, the TV schedule isn't the predictable thing it used to be.

The thought of full episodes "broadcast" online, or the thought of having another What Is A Spoiler discussion?
'Cause...yeah. But it's coming.
The new episodes are only available at Noon Eastern on Friday. Then they disappear.
Deus ex Machina, and I don't think this one can be explained away.
Deus ex Dylana, you mean.
(The premiere isn't available right now, for example. Unless I'm completely blind in which case LINKLINKLINKLINKLINK.)
I'm pretty sure it is, as someone on my flist watched it. I knew the premiere was going up early, but I didn't know they were going to put all the rest of the episodes up early too.
Ooh, you know what it is? I think they only put it up at noon EST. As in, it was aired online. You have to watch it then as if it were airing on your television and you didn't have TiVo.
If it's broadcast (and we can tell the difference) I don't think it's a spoiler. It's akin to being "spoiled" by "next week on Stargate" or the flashes of that episode's scenes that BSG gives you before the ep starts in earnest. Broadcast by the show. Authentic, valid, official.
Exactly - I watched it at 11 am Central - and now it's gone and at the end they said come back at the same time next week for another new episode.
So I could say. . . what I saw an no one here would feel betrayed?
