Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I watched Vampire Diaries this afternoon, and man, that continues to be a fast paced show. I may not like everything that happens, but there is no point yet where I am waiting for a resolution-- ny resolution.

Also, I think it is weird that Katherine seems to have chemistry with Stefan, and Elena does not, when they are the same actress, and clearly the show is written for Stefan and Elena to have chemistry.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Evil is always good for chemistry. It's like a physical law.

Wasn't Katherine wearing the obligatory leather pants?

"Jose Chung's From Outer Space" is by far my favorite X-Files episode (with "War of the Coprophages" and "bad Blood" taking silver and bronze), but I think "Home" has a fair claim on being the most powerful and memorable.

I am not clear on how the time-travel shenanigans saved Allison on Eureka.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Carter took more of the blow by barreling past them?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I got it, except for then their clothes changed and I got confused again.

Carter had to disrupt whatever Beverly was doing, because that was what caused Allison to die. So he left himself the message to do it. Why Grant and him reverted to their old clothes...not sure. Why exactly her stuff had killed Allison in the first place?

Okay, I guess I didn't get the details.

Matt, is "Bad Blood" the vampire episode with the Wilson brother playing the sheriff in the town that turns to be populated by vampires? And we see the episode in he-said/she-said POVs? Because I love that episode, I just suck at remembering X-Files titles.

I believe the intention was that at that moment, Carter & Grant went back in time and then the Carter & Grant that had gone back in time took their place. You need to handwave lots of timey-wimey paradoxes, but that's the gist of it.

Panicky in-the-know Carter honking his horn caused Allison and Henry to act differently when they got in the SUV to run, and Allison fastened her seatbelt.

edit: that's the one, Morgana.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Darmok

This is by far my favorite STNG.

I liked the X-Files that had good interaction between Mulder and Scully, like the one with the invisible swamp creatures and the one with the not!Loch ness monster.
