Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Why did I not know about this movie? I just tuned in and a fraking pyramid just appeared. It is weirdly congruous with the episode of Dr. Who I just watched.

Is the bad guy wearing knickers?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

He's wearing manpris. And a sweater vest. That's how we know he's evil.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

OK, that Who ep was AWESOME and I'm sort of DYING for next week.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

It's been obvious that Misha could teach a masters class on deadpan acting for quite some time now, but how he managed to keep a straight face while running from a villain dressed like a member of the Von Trapp family I'll never know.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I love how dorked up he was for the photo in the newspaper at the end.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

OK, that Who ep was AWESOME

UK or US? (Probably easier to give me an episode description, if the latter!)

UK Who: I enjoyed it, but there were a lot of odd unexplained things. Are we ever going to find out who was trying to build a TARDIS? It was a bit of a missed opportunity for playing with timey-wimey - for a minute I thought we'd find out that sometime in the future the *Doctor* had tried to build a TARDIS, or that his attempt to find out what was going on upstairs would cause the events, or something else very cool like that, but it was not to be. I did love James Corden, as well as everything that came out of Matt Smith's mouth. That man has completely won me over and I will never doubt the DW team's casting skills again.

And WHAT was with the evil yellow picture in the hall? It almost made The poor Girl cry! I assumed it would become part of the story, it was so clearly watching them talking in the hallway, but then it wasn't. Apparently the props department were having an evil day.
