A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Fiona, what did you think of the Ashes to Ashes finale?
As I posted upthread, I thought it
redeemed an awful lot of the preceeding series. The CGI with the clown was one of the best TV moments in a long time.
The
Evan
thing was a classic piece of
late misdirection. They built up the Layton character in the same way. Worked pretty well!
Yes, I'm looking forward to Series Two more now. I hope they have a chance to iron out the problems. Not sure how much they can do with
Alex's character without betraying her too much,
though. I do like all the
hints about Gene's role, and I loved the way he took care of wee-Alex
.
Ashes to Ashes managed to get
chilling there in the home stretch. I haven't found Alex likeable, but I did feel for her as she watched the makeup creep over her father's face and turn him into the clown (I wonder if there was anyone watching wondering why they were skimping on actors).
I loved Jesse Green and S. Epatha Merkerson! They were my favorite famous BSG fans!
I loved how Jesse got S. Epatha indoctrinated. . . I love Jesse Green's imitation of Starbuck returning at the end of Crossroads part 2 and how they're talking about how they bet that BSG even has a great Craft Services.
I love Jesse Green's imitation of Starbuck returning at the end of Crossroads part 2
That was really funny.
Fiona, I agree that the
CGI with the Clown was awesome. Sadly, I had been spoiled by reading TWoP that Alex's dad and the Clown were played by the same actor; I hadn't noticed at all, so it was less of a surprise (I think it would have been a hell of an HSQ if I hadn't known).
I just read a post at TWOP where somebody referred to Gwen/Jack as Gwack.
Well, that's sort of the noise I make when I think about that relationship.
Wow. Good list.
12. The speech Adama gives about Earth - Mini-Series
The man knows how to give a speech. You'd be lying if you said watching that scene doesn't make you want to jump off your couch and thump your heart with your fist and blurt out a SO SAY WE ALL!!
I am ready for the new episode. So frakkin' ready. Eeeeeee!
Well, that's sort of the noise I make when I think about that relationship.
ahahaha!
Gwack does pretty much sum up my feelings.
I just caught up with Torchwood 2.09, and I'd just like to say, for the record, that when I am in charge of the world, writers will be banned from writing any kind of magical/demon/alien pregnancy plot or any plot that has a shapeshifter/evil twin/alternate universe doppelganger declaring his love for a character who has been making googley eyes at the original. There's also this thing about every building having a visible street number, but that would go in a different thread.
