Also I dislike hitting old people.
Ooh yes. I was not too keen on that, even if they were meant to be aliens. I flinched every time someone hit an old person.
'Serenity'
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Hmm. Totally okay with the suspension of disbelief required to hit evil old people. No problem making that disconnect. They were evil!
They were evil!
Heh. There is perhaps something not quite right with my ability to suspend disbelief. They were old people!
See, you're one step away from not liking seeing women hit. They were threats! Hit 'em and sort the demographics out later.

My problem here may be how as I'm a sociologist. Heh.
Yes!
No!
Women must be allowed to be threats as well, or you're taking away power.
Well, they didn't smack the old people willy nilly. Rory had the same objection and Amy was all "SHE'S AN ALIEN, DO IT!!!"
I appreciated that the script addressed it and didn't just start granny wackin'.
Women must be allowed to be threats as well, or you're taking away power.
I'm kidding. I was laughing at my own squeamishness over old people. Women can totally be threats. There should be more threatening women hit in DW!
Well, they didn't smack the old people willy nilly.
I know. I'm just squeamish.
I once yelled at a guy "Stop saying obscene things to me! You have no right to talk to me that way! Stop harrassing me! Security!" I was in McDonalds, and this random homeless guy was talking to me. Now, I must admit that I at least contributed to the situation by suggesting that the reason that he was being ignored by the cashier was that women don't like to be called sweetheart by strangers.
Vortex is threadshifting again, pass it on.
