Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Max Headroom was a very fun show.

Eee! Bless Shout! Factory. They're the ones doing Parker Lewis & It's Garry Shandling's Show, too, so I think Max Headroom is the final stage of their plan to win my heart. Or perhaps just take all my money.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Thanks for posting that, P-C. Plus, when I went to order it, I found out Quark: The Complete Series was available on DVD too. I suspect it will not hold up very well, but it was dirt cheap, so I ordered that too.

The preview for Fringe tonight amuses me. It refers to Walter as "self-medicating." Yeah, considering he referred to some pot as "not as good as what I grow", I can accept that he would be choosing his own coping methods to what happened last week. Walter could be called experienced in the ways of home pharmaceuticals. I wonder how that plays with the censors, such a lovable guy being a connoisseur of drugs. Of course, he's also mad, so that may balance out.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Walter frequently refers to drugs that he took or even made in the past.

He's such an amiable junkie.

If we do see Alterna-Walter, it will be an interesting comparison.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Maybe it flies with the censors because they figure Walter is an example of what drugs will do to ya.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

When we see Peter do drugs with him is when the censors will start having opinions.
