I'll be fine. I'll be your bounty, Jubal Early. And I'll just fade away.

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

In the "The mind is its own place" department, I read this in an AP Wire story about Disney ...

Ross also said the studio was about to give the go-ahead to a new movie featuring the Muppets, which will introduce a new character named Walter.

... and immediately envisioned Walter from "Fringe" on "The Muppet Show."

Tell me it's not a natural.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Tell me it's not a natural.

It think if they crossed Dr. Honeydew with Beaker they might already be there.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Just caught up with Fringe ... does anybody think that Mr. Secretary will turn out to be Alterna-Walter -- why I think so, was the detail of not only Newton holding his hand, but the dying shapeshifter holding Walter's hand and basically telling him everything that he asked.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I think that's the standard assumption. It has to be Walternate.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Oh, there's no way Donna would have let that pass without horrified commentary back in the day.

Did Donna canonically have the opportunity?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

FlashForward: Is there any reason why Mark couldn't have either (1) looked for a big piece of metal to place between Dimitri & the gun or (2) looked for a little piece of metal to jam behind the trigger so that the gun wouldn't fire?

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I saw a MacGyver episode where he used hockey tickets to stop a gun from firing.

Compassionately intolerant

Tonight's Who:

It went really fast! While the story was so simple as to not really engage me, there were so many snippets of dialogue that were completely charming.

I love the way the Doctor calls Amy "Pond" and how clearly affectionate he is with her .

River's entrance had me squeeing, River's a Buffista ! Those shoes, that handbag containing a sonic swiss-army gun, no less. Delightful!

Also, loved the my hand is stone, no it's not! scene. Space teeth ! Alive! 'Just saying."

Oh, and a wonderful companion to my favorite quote from the Tick... "Oh, no offense, Bishop ." "Quite alot taken, if you don't mind ."

I am loving 11 more and more...only I'm a bit thrown out when he speaks a word with a u in it. Sshtuupid, asshuuming, etc. Is that particular to a specific accent, or simply an affectation?

Next week looks crackin'. Can't wait.

brillig

Yes, I'm thinking it's Alterna-Walter as well, who may well be quite peeved at having his son taken away from him.
