Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

'Get It Done'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

V: So Hobbes is basically Ham Tyler, right?

Trust my rage

Oh yeah, I'll definitely rewatch those eps. Thanks for the reminder.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

What I really want is a long vid of all the Captain Jack scenes from Doctor Who. Context be damned.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

P-C, I don't remember the original series at all. I actually thought last night's ep was decent, but I still like "Flashforward" better.

Last night's episode was better, yeah, but the show suffers from Being-After-Lost Syndrome. Also, it's later and I get sleepy.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

OK, I'm watching last night's V. How 'bout, since you're showing her a fake sonogram ANYWAY you show her a fetus who isn't going to survive and strongly recommend she abort the lethal half-alien pregnancy?

And why is Anna all breeding an army if she has eighty kabaillion space ships in the sky already?

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

The armada is too far away.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Okay, finally watched DW.

I miss 9, but 11, I could grow to like. It was fun.

After the way RTD's run ended, I have lowered my standards, and thus am easily entertained.

I did like the snowflake-with-a-big-eye aliens. And the terrifying Prisoner Zero. And the crack in the wall. Arc establishment already!

And I watched the long preview, and eeee! Angels from "Blink"! And River Song! Coolness.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

SyFy movies for June:

  • Lake Placid 3: In this sequel, a game warden, his wife and their young son move into their aunt's cabin on Lake Placid, where the lonely boy starts feeding baby crocodiles he views as pets. Three years later, the crocs start looking at him and his family as their food. Stars Colin Ferguson.
  • Stonehenge Apocalypse: When the giant stones of Stonehenge begin to move and cataclysms occur all over the earth, only a fringe radio talk show host who's an expert in UFOlogy figures out that the ancient monument is really alien technology. Stars Hill Harper, Misha Collins and Peter Wingfield.

SCORE.
