I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Oh, one thing that cracked me up on DW was Amelia praying to Santa. On Easter!

Flashforward likely to be cancelled, V somewhat less so.

Dammit. I'm assuming Demetri doesn't die, and I want John Cho to keep having a regular job where I can see him.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Of course, the better of the two series is more likely to be canceled. Will I ever learn?

Of course not.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Huh! My opinion has flipped on the two series since they returned, so I don't like this conclusion.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

On Chuck, I am SO GLAD Morgan saw that the fight was fake. I was sitting here thinking how bad it was, and wondering why they kept re-running it, when it was so poorly done.

Right, Jesse? I was so confused because I could tell it looked fake, so I didn't know whether the fight choreographer took a day off or what. Of course, I don't know why no one else noticed, but whatevs.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I was so confused because I could tell it looked fake

I know. It was worse than Sarah's fights back in the early days of the series.

Of course, I don't know why no one else noticed

I give the general a pass because she probably wasn't looking that closely. I would have expected Chuck to, but his mind was probably elsewhere. Sarah has no excuse, however.

Casey IS a big old softie.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

DW: New Doctor! I surprised myself by liking him right away, and Amy too, even if she does seem a bit like Rose Redux. DO NOT WANT the new credits and theme song, but what can you do. The episode was fun and nonsensical and a little creepy -- not necessarily one I'd rewatch much, but the trailer has me pumped for the rest of the season. I think I'm going to enjoy this new Doctor quite a bit. I like the way Dana put it: that he became transparent in the role. Yes.

Stuff I liked: the door, fish custard (that whole scene was great), Amy as a policewoman (pity it didn't last), "Basically... Run," the Doctor not recognizing himself. The new TARDIS interior, actually. And the Doctor's new outfit, suspenders, bow tie, and all.

Who was the guy with the laptop? I couldn't tell what his relationship to Amy was, or her relationship with the old woman with the TV, for that matter. The whole bit with the laptop was totally silly and made no sense that I could tell, but: *wavy hands*

Seska, I like your point about how the whole village knows who the Doctor is. I wonder how many of those characters will end up being important bit players, like Wilf.

From the trailer: Is that River Song?? I thought so, but I couldn't be sure, and then Shir mentioned her too. What what what???
