I've been watching Caprica and mostly enjoying it. But I'm confused about something. If Adama's *dad* is around for the creation of the Cylons, where are the final 5? I don't really want them in the story but it keeps niggling my brain. Maybe I just don't remember how the final 5 fit into the Cylon story.
Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
The final 5 are left over from the previous generation of Cylons on Earth. They're ultimately responsible for giving the Caprica cylons human forms and ressurection, but I doubt we'll see them in the new show at all.
At this point they may not have arrived at the Colonies yet, now that I think about it.
So, the Cylons that Dr. Graystone is creating are not the Cylons created by the final five? Maybe they merge at some point?
These ones eventually become the Centurion model from BSG and the FF help them to evolve into the skinjobs.
Okay, that makes sense (or at least enough sense to stop bugging me). Thanks
so, Caprica deals with the toasters, right, not the humanoid cylons.
The 2nd generation of cylons is where the final 5 come in.
Time Magazine ranks SyFy rebranding one of the ten worst.
I'm shamed to say, I've made peace with it. If they air non-crap, I will still watch it. I smirk when I type the name, but I'm sure they don't care.
And that was probably the only time Time Magazine said anything about SyFy all year, so I guess they'll take their publicity where they can find it.
I must have looked away at the last moment...where was Peter Wingfield in Caprica? His imdb listing doesn't give a character name.
He was the boss of the two detectives who are investigating the Graystones in connection with the mag-lev bombing.
