Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

So many things make more sense once you realize that the first scene was in the AU. One thing I didn't get before was why they were looking for tremors and trying to suss out a pattern. Why didn't they just look at the tremors from before and figure out the pattern? Because those tremors were in a different reality, that's why.

All is well that ends in pizza.

"Smallville: Absolute Justice" was more fun than it had any right to be. Even with those costumes.

I didn't know it was going to be 2 hours when I stat down to watch it at midnight or so.

Many eps of Smallville I can skim. This one I couldn't

If they minimize the Kandor storyline, I will be much happier.

Of course, More Lois and Clark and more Superman are always welcome.

That being said, Andi and I have started watching Lois and Clark from the beginning.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Shanks's hero voice ranks way below Bale and Ackles.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

If they minimize the Kandor storyline

Ha!

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Considering the standard of excellence you're holding him to, ita, I can't figure out if Shank's hero voice isn't quite ludicrously deep enough, or if he sounds like he's chewing gravel while dry-heaving.

(Ackles and Bale, though, in the same breath? At least Jensen doesn't make me giggle uncontrollably.)

Fringe was great. I figured we were in AU right away from the spelling and the coffee line, so score one for me, who is usually oblivious. I had kind of forgotten Peter was from an AU, so the end surprised me. I'm backwards! Maybe I'm from an AU.

Art Crawl!!!

I enjoyed the Smallville movie.

I am shocked and appalled at the usually much more observant Buffistas who didn't get that Fringe was showing the AU in the teaser when I did. I must have had a brief moment of sharp observiness.

Caprica: Peter Wingfield! And I am enjoying young Bill Adama being all JD with his Uncle Sam.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

When your choices are making you look (and sound) like a bad actor while standing next to Tom Welling, it's time for an intervention.

I'll agree that two-parter was far better than it had any right to be, and I don't think it was just my love for the Justice Society that made it seem so. I think the writers were having a blast this week.

I give Batman childhood trauma points. Despite Hawkman's tale of woe, he's earned no such cred from me. Plus, Bale.

Me, too!
