Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

brillig

And it should be the Pegasus version, not the horrifically clunky Milky Way version, that sounded like a jalopy about to keel over.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Good point ita. Of course, if hooked up to a normal power grid, things might dim in one's general area when in use.

[lights dim, tv flickers]

"What the?"

"Ah crap, Bob's trying his Stargate again."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Being Human has been renewed for season 3.

In other British sci fi...well, not news, since the show's cancelled, but I was bored and caught an episode of Demons. How did I fail to notice that Mina was blind? Now that I know, I realise she's especially crap at acting it (she navigates steps at an angle with no hesitation and without her cane touching the ground) 0, but show really got that little of my attention over two episodes that I thought she just had a really good sense of smell.

The reveal that she was a vampire was a bit of a non-reveal, though. Hello. Mina.

She's a speed Braille reader, I'll give her that. But her affect is totally one of a sighted person.

Except when she drinks blood. Then she can see fine.

I just noticed that Polite Dissent now reviews Fringe, which seems almost as strange a choice as that police blog that critiques Castle. They're always going to be wack.

Art Crawl!!!

Caprica: Hey, did you think that the Greystone's dog kind of knew that Zoe was in the robot? I mean, it seemed like he was hanging with her. (Plus, when I saw the bc I was all Jake! Or Jake's ancestor!)

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Between the "Y the Last Man" as a geek come-on tool and the "Frak Off" t-shirt, Chuck is making me laugh and laugh.
