'Shindig'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Who exactly would watch a US reboot of Dr. Who? The British version has been around for almost a half century... I'd think anyone interested in the basic premise would be aware of the still-in-production original and choose to watch that instead.

Trust my rage

I think Matt is on to something. Who would watch American Who anyway? Even American Torchwood sounds wrong...

brillig

In an American Torchwood, Jack wouldn't get to flirt with absolutely everyone.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

In an American Torchwood, Jack wouldn't get to flirt with absolutely everyone.

And it just isn't Torchwood without that.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

In an American Torchwood, Jack wouldn't get to flirt with absolutely everyone.

Which means snogging the boys would be RIGHT OUT.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Everyone in Torchwood had some same sex action. Jack just had the most. I can't see that persisting across the pond.

I did see suggestions that Captain John helm Torchwood: US. Apart from the bit where that's totally OOC, it's a great idea.

Does Medium discussion belong here or in Procedurals? Or is it just not discussed much on this board?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Everyone in Torchwood had some same sex action. Jack just had the most. I can't see that persisting across the pond.

Maybe if it were on HBO or Showtime. Definitely not on Fox/FX.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Fox readying U.S. version of 'Torchwood'.

The hell?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, that`s crack-addled.
