I am the fly who dreams of the spider

TJ broke me last night with her reaction to Eli.

And how much did I love that my trained expectation for everything to be wrapped up neatly with the press of a Big Red Reset Button was thrown out the window? "Oh, now they can get it right! Wait, what? More death? Cut to black mid-musical-cue what?" Awesome.

From the previews and, if I remember correctly, the lack of To Be Continued, this is it for this story? As in, we are left to imagine that they go through many more cycles and iterations until they get it right, and we won't see any of that? Also very cool. Reminds me sort of how Farscape would just start in the middle of the action, instead of tromping through all the normal set-up before the actual story began.

SGU wasn't bad. They got off the ship and a lot of people died.

Tempting, but I don't know...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I bet not enough people died to please me.

This week's Sanctuary was easily my favourite of the season. I found it very sweet, even though I figured out the who and they why ahead of time. Not much Kate and I really liked Henry. Him being too close to a woman doesn't bother me in the slightest if it's not Kate. But I am surprised "bros before hos" survives a murder attempt. Or he just is gay.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I bet not enough people died to please me.

Chloe would need to outdo Captain Jack in that regard to really make my day.

Oh, I agree.

I was just hoping that, since they showed Big Guy embracing him in the previouslies, that they'd go less ambiguous and have him say something like, "We can't be together like that."

As I said, way up thread, I'm not one to seek the slash. I just liked how true Henry's feelings were last season and any natural, realistic relationship in pop media, regardless of orientation, needs all the support it can get.

Don't mind me. I'm still bugged by the writers killing off Tessa in HighlanderS2.

Well, Juliebird. I gave it a go...and it's like this.

I truly enjoyed the structure of the episode and some of the writing. I'm a huge fan of the very Jossian or Rowlingian expressing the consequences of previous decisions (whether episodes or seasons ago) in the current storyline. That rocked. Though I'm not a great fan of the timey whimey stuff . But I thought it was quite well done here. AND, called back to previous SG plots. So, yeah.

However, and still, I just can't embrace the characters. Not just because I find the BSG visuals distracting, but I just don't find them sympathetic. Even worse, in the 'next ons', LDP appears all scowly again. Pheh. I just hate that character and don't care what happens to him.

Unlike, say, the VP Kinsey and Woolsey characters, who were at least interestingly hateable.

I have no integrity though, because despite my dislike, if y'all post intriguing things about future episodes, I'll probably watch them in the background. I'm shallow/easily distracted like that.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

New special this Sunday!!

Thank you for the reminder. That might just get me through the day.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Me too! It was made possibly more scarring by my roommate sadly informing me of the event as I came in the front door.

And frankly, I never liked Ritchie enough to want him hanging around forever.
